On Thursday morning Nikki and I took the children to Gillette so that Drew could check in with one of his docs. Drew has five doctors active in his care: a pulmonologist, a nutritionist, a spine specialist, a leg and hip specialist and his pediatrician. I am often in awe at the care he receives. At this particular visit Drew received some new knee braces. It is hoped that he can adjust to wearing them to bed. This will be a challenge; however, Drew always seems to come through. He is truly an amazing child.
Unfortunately I forgot the camera at home, but I thought I would share a few images and a bit of video I caught on my phone. I think the highlight of my morning was watching Ry entertain Drew with his DS for about an hour while we waited. Lately Drew has been teasing Ry a bit. However, Ryan is almost totally unwavering in his loyalty to his special brother. Watching the boys interact is one of my greatest joys.
