On Thursday Ryan was back to normal. That meant that the guys could have the celebration dinner postponed the night before.

Ryan is becoming a good photographer! While they were waiting for their meal, he captured daddy concentrating on what must have been an important text.

On Friday Drew was scheduled to have his GJ tube exchanged. After a brief battle over whether I would be allowed to be in the room during the procedure, it proceeded as scheduled. (Drew announced that he would “bust out of this place” if he had to be in the room alone.)
Drew carried a caterpillar Lizzy gave him as his security item.

Drew’s favorite nurse, Mary Kay, was on duty and stayed by his side the entire time.

Drew did great; he announced that he felt no discomfort and the procedure took only a few minutes. His proud mommy gave him a big kiss.

The morning concluded with stop at the vending machines; a reward for a brave little boy and a job well done.

Once we arrived home, the Draz guys prepared for one of the most highly anticipated days of the year: their annual trip to the Minnesota State Fair. As you enjoy the following video, don’t miss the image of daddy helping Drew hold his hand on his chest during the National Anthem.
